Hi, this is my first post, and hipforums, really seems like a great place to be. I read the rules and didn't see anything wrong with this, but if I'm breaking a rule or in the wrong section, I apologize in advance.

I really need help Identifying these mushrooms, I know they are psycho-active psilocybin, but I need to know the species to determine my dosage. I thought i was going to be buying the standard cubenesis, which I'm relatively sure these are not.

EDIT: I can't really figure out how to insert pictures, i anybody can help or any experts wanna shoot me their e-mail so i can just send the pics that would be extremely helpful.

    STAY HIP

Insert pictures bye uploading them to something like www.Tinypic.com.
It'll give you a code for forum boards, and you just have to copy paste it onto here.

don't wanna discredit you as I wouldn't call myself an expert on the matter, but they look nothing like cubenesis to me... No ring on stipe, stipe is far to skinny, and the caps dont look like cubes, and there prty small for cubes

I'd say they look like Cubes. Badly mishandled Cubes that were grown for too long, but Cubes for sure. I'd eat the whole eighth. The way the center of the cap is darker at the nipple then fades to golden tan gives it away.

the only thing crazy about them is how long they were left to grow judging by how much that cap has curled up. shoulda been picked earlier.

No, they are just very mature.

When cubensis get mature, they open up and start curling inwards at the edges like that.
Young cubensis (i.e. right after the veil breaks) don't have curling caps like that.

Yes, those are slightly rotted. Hence the dark color. Rotten mushrooms are fine, I have ate them before.

does it have any affect on potentcy? I have heard that younger specimeins contain more active chemicals per weight, but Im just wondering whether this will make any noticable difference??

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I'm pretty sure (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the reason for that is because there is less of an area for the psilocybin/psilocin to be spread out in, whereas when the shrooms grow larger, the psilocybin/psilocin spreads into the whole mushrooms body, and therefore there is less actives per gram, or whatever the weight.

So a gram of aborts (small mushrooms that never really grow big) would be more potent than a gram of these, but I'm sure you'll still trip plenty hard :D
