My right. I don't have very good control of my left hand, because I fucked up my wrist when I was a kid, so it's pretty weak, and if I have the leash in that hand for long, I start to lose it. I have one of those retractable leashes, too, and the handle is harder to grip and keep a hold on than a normal leash.

If it were a large dog it would be the stronger arm with more coordination... naturally. If it were a smaller easy to control dog you could pick your preferred hand.
