I learned how to drive in a car with hand controls, switching over wasn't a challenge at all, i hear horror stories about people who can't figure out hand controls. so, any experiences?
I've only driven a couple times. And I did nothing the right way. I didn't even signal half the time. I was drunk as fuck but I had to get people home lol. my girlfriend was to drunk to drive and it was her car haha.
i haven't either i've adjusted the acceleration and slowed down with that option on the steering whell... do you always have to have your hands on the wheel dave? i think my biggest problem if that is the case would be not being able to use my hand for other things like eating and changing the cd/radio/ipod selection, or playing the drums, or flipping the bird or shaking them wildly at stupid drivers.
you have a knob on the steering wheel, so you can steer one handed really easily, and yeah, you have to have the other hand on the accel/brake lever at all times, but, eh.
I've never driven hand controls. I did know of someone with a hand control car, though... But I was never in it. Boyfriend of a girl I worked with.
i would imagine that takes a little getting used to. that reminds me of the setup handicapped folk use...the ones who cannot walk.
