Hate and the hating haters who do it...

I believe that dreads are like fiber optic cables, relaying the vibrations that the wearer sends into the universe. Whatever you feel, your dreads magnify, and, as such, can be a strong conduit for your emotions / perceptions.

We need to start a conversation concerning all the hate that's been going around the forum recently, because it affects the vibration of everyone else on here. So to start, I have questions...

Why bother? Why hate on those whom you disagree with? Does it make you feel better about yourself to bring down others? Isn't it just as easy to ignore someone you don't see eye to eye with?

An example: A certain poster who shall remain nameless posted criticism of someone else's spiritual beliefs as a personal attack.

Now, I'm not suggesting we should all hold hands and sing Kumbaya, but there are ways to disagree without attacking people's beliefs.

What is the consensus?

Dreadheads are confrontational? =/ Thing is like minded 'hip' folk I meet out in the wild are always great, but I think when you get a group of people with differing beliefs, backgrounds and aspirations in one place/forum/thread tension is always going to be high, Dreadlocked or not, because even on that topic everyone seems to disagree

 

Lol I dunno if your referring to me but I dont care really I posted my views this is a free speech forum im allowed to do so. I dont care for insulting others I just stated the way I feel and things I noticed which condesended alot of the things they implied thats all nothing personal towards the person

I'm not looking for it to 'work', D, just trying to figure out the reason some feel the need to dump on their fellow dreads' beliefs.

I can dig that we disagree, I mean we all said 'f&%# the system' and go our own way, but that doesn't mean we can't argue without resorting to attacking one another personally, does it?

 

well there wont be a reason.. some people just like to stir shit,, and some people just pass a comment (that they may make in real life) and others take offence to it, even though sometimes theres none to be taken

They have conduits. Just not crazy tenticoo ones like dread heads. And tenticoos have much power and get good action.

This has nothing to do with it being a dread forum. It is all related to it being an online forum. They'ze all the same. I've only been a member of one forum where this behaviour was heavily monitored and therefore avoided... it was a site for new moms. lol

 

This is a great example of how someone's beliefs can be questioned without attacking someone personally.

Mary J, I make no assumptions about those without dreads, nor do I believe you need dreads to be spiritual, you just assume that I do.

A conduit is a medium through which something travels. I.E. the tunnel is the conduit for the train.

 

Some people are just too sensitive and can't take a little criticism once and awhile. While others start things and then later play victim once everyone is siding with them but w/e. So things get heated once and awhile.. at least most people are open and this forum keeps moving.

I would agree that respect for one another needs to be something practiced around here though. It's lacking in that area quite a bit..

 

I'm on a mama forum and geez, they iz bitches! this place is a walk in the freaking park compared to those nasty dawgs.
