I had been getting 16 oc 10's every 4 weeks from Walgreen's. My neurologist increased it a little, allowing me an extra 40 mg for the same period, so 20 10's for 4 weeks. But when he wrote the new numbers, he forgot to change "max 4 tabs/week" to "max 5 tabs/week." The pharm told me they wouldnt fill it till the time was up, but they would fill it that day if I went and got a new scrip that said "max 5 tabs/week", so I did that and they filled it that day and I went home happy. So then a week later as I was trying to wean off the supply of oxys, I got an automated message from Walgreens telling me that I had a new scrip ready for pickup. Curious, since I knew of no scrip, I went down there and picked it up, and it was another vial of oc 10's. They had filled both scrips, the "max 4 tabs/week" and the "max 5 tabs/week." The one that they were supposed to ignore had been filled the day after and had sat there for a week. So naturally I enjoyed the ostensible freebie, but now I don't know what to do when my next scrip is up for filling. Are they going to notice that I basically got 2 scrips at the same time and say you'll have to wait another 4 weeks? If so, why didn't they catch it in the first place? Could I perhaps say that I never picked up any second rx (they do expresspay with my credit card on file) and let them think it was insider foul-play or someone picked it up who wasn't me? I'm just hella surprised they let it happen in the first place since they have been so anal about my rx's in the past, so I'm wondering if I can get my next rx at the usual time as if nothing happened, or I'll have to bite it and wait another 4 weeks? Has this happened to anyone else? I'd appreciate any comments, but if you are sorta guessing, please indicate so. :cheers2:
pick up your next script as normal and I would bet they are not going to notice or care... If they do just play stupid.... don't lie but think of some stupid excuse and don't admit it was your fault. good job on gettin the freeebee tho.... must have been so sweet.
i work at a pharmacy and deal with this shit all the time... you're not doing anything illegal so there's nothing to worry about. as long as it went through your insurance, and you picked it up, they don't care. i wouldn't recommend lying and saying you didn't pick it up because most places (at least wher ei work) make you sign to verify that YOU are picking up the prescription and they keep your signature on file with the date. but yeah i wouldn't be fretting over it.. you have a legal script for a legal medication and you did nothing wrong so there's no big deal

You have to go and get the script from the doc every month, right? Well just to make sure nothing gets caught just take your next script and go fill it at rite-aid or Safeway. then you won't have any problems of them catching it. they probably won't but I would take my next script and have it filled somewhere else. that way there is no way of them figuring it out. That is what I would do. with my luck they would say wow looks like we had 2 filled within a week. If I was you thats what I would do. that way there is no way of them figuring it out. it dosen't mater as long as it not the same pharmacy as the last one. then in another month you can go back to walgreens. by then it will show 2 months since you filled there and no one will know
hazaa I went and got it filled at safeway pharm today and got the goods without a hitch. of course this particular scrip was left unsigned by the doc so I couldnt get it filled on sunday, but I got it signed and scored the lil white devils. it's always something. I prefer safeway actually. walgreens is always backed up with a wait. the safeway ppl had my drugs in their hand before I even said who I was. I think they were lonely for customers. Plus their vials are more likely to keep my 2 and 3 year olds from dipping into my stash. j/k I just got my snort on and am talkative.
yeah I've sorta grown tired of snorting of late. what I've started doing is crushing up a piece of pill between two spoons. I don't worry about making it too powdery. then I get the pile on the end of the spoon and dump it as far back in my mouth as possible and swallow with water. Then lick the residue. I think it kicks in just as quick and it's a cleaner feeling.
HAHA Burn, thats the Safeway I go to. I'm in and out of there in 10 minutes MAX. I live a half mile up finn hill there from safeway We probably passed each others path..lol
