Hello, couple of my friends and I are headed down to Rome from December 16 - Dec 27th for some time to get away. I was wondering what to do while we were there. We have never been there and do not know much. We plan on seeing the usual sightseeing stuff, but was wondering if you would have to purchase some type of tickets to attend christmas mass on the 24th and then prayer on the 25th. How would we get these tickets in advance so that they do not sell out if t hey haven't already?

I have attended several messes in the vatican, and they don't have tickets. It will be crowded, but they don't cost anything. I mean it's not a theater, it's church, it's open to everybody :)

GO to the Vatican, I've been to mass at the Vatican before, and I can only imagine what Christmas eve mass would be like...breathtaking i'm sure.
