this forum used to be the nicest place ever... it only takes a couple people to really change the whole vibe of the place unfortunatly..

I agree that almost all forums are the same lux... this was a heavily monitored baby forum... no nasties at all. It was quite nice if you like that. I like this forum for the entertainment value. I have given up almost all tv now for this. My time is definitely better spent.

 

I agree^_^some other dready forums I've been on are too fake and boring 'your dreads exude such a good aura man' what is life without bite?

 

This forum is so tame compared to 99% of the internets I don't think anyone can really complain.

Also if people want to use their beliefs as some component of an argument then of course they are open to criticism. i.e. if there was a post along the lines of "the pagan ultragod buddah-vishnu teaches that eating meat is the cardinal sin of man" then I'm going to reply with a resounding call for them to fuck off.

 

Fair enough. But when someone brings a person's beliefs up as a counter to an argument that has nothing to do with the subject, its below the belt. ie. I think dreads are good. That's because you are a pagan heathen who is going to hell.

Yeah if you're going to cruise around this place starting little fires like that don't bitch and cry about it later when you get insulted back. If you're going to start something be prepared to deal with w/e it may cause.

Not necessarily, there's been cases of it happening here many times. Someone takes a jab at someone else, they retaliate, and it turns into a big ordeal..

 

People take internet like life, i heard of people killing themselves and shit over myspace lol crazy stuff. I dunno man this is dumb people are people and their always going to put other people down for the benefit of either making them feel better personally or try to stand out to people who otherwise wouldn't give them any attention. I think its pointless to get into heated arguements online considering you probably wouldnt do it face to face so why act hard. This is a dreadlock forum so when people start posting topics about faiths and whatnot thats not dread related chances are people are going to have different views and call them out on it cause they all dont share the simple trait of just having dreads.

People just need to grab a 40oz or a tally roll up a jay or blunt and kick back and realize nothing that anyone on this forum types really matters cause chances are youll never meet them and at the most its just words that will bother you if you let them.

When I first started on here it was happy and peaceful then things started slowly going to shit. It bothered me a bit at first but now I find it funny. Its funny to me that some peeps take the internet so seriously. Go ride a bike or something!!!! pick up a hobby ya know?!

No idea what your getting at with the cables of the universe metaphor, but even those who think they don't hate on people, do. Hate is in everyone, even the smallest amount always comes out. You can't like or love everything in life.

Now for the sake of arguing, people also like to argue. You can try not to as much as you want but some just happen. Instead of worrying about trying to not so much and change people to not do so, which won't ever ever happen, just ignore it and you won't be involved. People need to realize that forums are not anything to get upset or bothered by, or places such as myspace.
