OCALA- The actual city of Ocala is not too cool, I used to live there, but the forest is so nice, and there is many places for many people to chill. It truly is a great state, city, and forest for a gathering

 

you know its not about someone condoning the the use of drugs. its about the use of discretion, everyone smokes pot. as far as it goes about spirit is that your role model, have you had a conversation with him, he is pretty intellegent after you get past "got any nugs". there is more to the whole gathering other than getting high.

Is this sister for real or just f-ing with people? Ocala the town AND the surrounding area is not cool with rainbows, they've been putting up with spun out kids lookin for dumpster scores and handouts for almost 20 years now. I've actually walked into local convenience stores and been denied service for being my 'kind' and had old people spit at my feet as i walk back to the van. been f-ed with by the police almost everytime they saw a deadhead sticker on the bumper. seen kids go to jail for holding a sign -no warnings.

but maybe you never seen that side of the gathering, the side that feeds your silly ass, hell, i bet last year you didnt even see the side that the year before regulated psuedo-family fools like you for passing datura tea around as shroom tea, and selling acid at main circle. the former causing wide spread bad trips, kids waking up walking naked through briars and in front of moving vehicles, losing all their shit, burning their own camps, eating dirt, talking to people who werent there, forgetting their names and ages and where they came from and who they came with and definitely not having a good time getting unwittingly spun on a very seriously no nonsense substance with long lasting repurcussions.

and using money at a gathering just pollutes the real vibe that attracted you to our family. we barter at gatherings.

Mr. Spore Radical I do not know you, and I will not judge you upon the things you type. Although I do think everyone deserves some respect, and you do not have the right to assume that when I do some drugs I do all drugs. I can assure you that myself or anyone I hang out with will never pass around Datura, we will never sell anything to someone who is immature, or someone who will eat all of the substance, and I do not see why you all take so much frustration out on the people who use drugs. We are all in this together, We all have our reasons for being part of this, and we should all understand that.

 

And I also ask you to do your research mr. spore radical before you start talking about the long term effects of any of my substances

 

you or no one else represents the family, so sure feel free to spout off to a public forum about an upcoming drug fest, i wont judge you for that. but i also probably wont attend for the simple fact that i dont feel its a family event and i'll take this opportunity to debunk your statements that this is a gathering you speak of when it's actually a gathering thats being infiltrated by some sort of secret society gradual takeover. you, as a member of the rainbow family of living light, should be alarmed by this, not telling the world there will be a bookoo plethora of drugs. it does nothing but alert the feds and create a stronger police presence.

Now I can understand about some bad police business. The police are not nice to us. It seems that they dont know what freedom means. Hey if you buy the stuff, and try the stuff, its ur own damn fault if you die on the stuff. You have got to be responsible, and I preach it time and time again. My name is Barry Sacharow and I am a political activist from Hollywood Florida. The past three years (the last two as focalizer from Dolphin Camp) I signed the Forest Service Permit for the Ocala Gathering... following councils (6) that choose not to block.

Spore Radical is someone who I have known for some years ... and several of them, BTW, as Spirit's running partner before he began to attack him so unmercifally.

I love him and worry about him. Here is the truth of what he speaks: I was raised as a Mason at age 21 (third generation) and wear my uncles masonic ring. He imagines that my controvercial political stands, including those regarding the permit are as a result of my Masonic connections. For the record... they are not, theat are based on what I beleive to be the right thing to do! This year, we spent almost no time together (my fault not his) so he seems to be back on the rampage about me... other years less so...

However he was right about Front Gate this year. Last year Mouse ran front gate and supported my efforts at getting the permit, which went a long way toward making things go smoothly. This year, as a result of the way their cronic drinkers and drug users interfaced with the local authorities last year, a-camp and front gate "boycotted" the permitted site and staged their own gathering. However, many of them we seen at the front, trying to convince others to leave and follow them. Few did. Ocala was, other then during drunken incursions, a sober gate this year and the better for it. But it had less to do with me then circumstances, although I am happy to see how it worked out.

This year is my turn to fade into the woods, cooking, hauling wood, digging shitters, etc., while permit council does what they do (as regards to signing a permit). I did not even go to vision council this last weekend... too much going on politically here...

But the thread was originally about drugs and drug use. I am against all illegal drug use in or out of Ocala. However, my definitions about what is a drug may differ from some. My stand on legalization is also well known (I am for it). If I do my work at home properly and with enough gusto, maybe I will actually get to do something about it... but that is another subject.

Cronic alcoholics are not needed for any reason, not to "guard" the front, not to park cars and not to harm OUR family, through violence and or stupidity... Drug sales harm our family and our gathering. Each of us needs to do what they can to stop them ... gentley, as family members, but as individuals who's words carry meaning. If you see things going on that should not, speak to thse involved, call Shanta Sina if you need to, do what YOU see as right and Ocala will be the better for it!

I love this family and that is why I have alway done what I do... I work WITH council and listen when it speaks ... of course I have also been known to open my mouth a time or two, sometimes with wisdom, others no so much!!!! We need more family coming to council, more family involved, this is a participatory process and it is about all, old school and newbie, bother sister and everthing else...

I can tell you Ocala if filled with wonderful pholk who I miss and love terribly and can't wait to see ... even my friend .... well what ever he's calling himself ... and lots of pholk watch all day and all night. Parking lots are parking lots, for better or worse, the woods are the woods, and there are few places better. We need to all watch out for each other, at Ocala and otherwise....

One last thought before I duck the rotting vegtibles being thrown, I LOVE A GOOD RAVE, but few of the animals we share the Ocala with feel the same way. PLEASE leave your lights, amps and SCHWAGG ASS NOISE home and come out with your family (who ever you are or are not!) and celebrate the Ocala with us all!!!

gatherings are about people. drugs are just part of people. I have always enjoyed Acamp, till it gets dark and everyone gets really shitfaced...then I retreat to the main camp.....

barry, i dont think you know me, and even though i find it hard to trust you i thank you for that post. even though there might be some discrepency in what your saying, like 'mouse supported the permit' when it was more like -tolerated- and i dont know who the hell your talking about beating spirit mercilessly but that wasnt me. spirits a friend of mine, even though he's strange and annoying sometimes, i wouldnt even allow something like that to happen to that bro.
