Phones that are not cell phones may completely go away, except for business use. I haven't had a regular phone since I moved two years ago. This house has never had a phone line connected to it.
I certainly hope so. That is why you need to buy time in advance, when it's gone, it's gone. Her parents are stupid idiots.
The parents thought that they had the texting disabled but they didn't. Verizon ended up waiving some of the $4700 bill but it didn't say how much they were going to charge. I calculated that the girl would have had to send a text message about every 8 minutes for a ten-hour day at school. That's a real nervous habit. .
Texter's rehab? She'll probably commit suicide if they take it away...I'm not kidding. Kids take that shit way too seriously these days.
I almost never text anyone. I need the cell phone for work. My boss has a bad texting habit, she's in her fifties. I agree with the comments about Cell by Stephen King. I think that landlines may indeed become a thing of the past at some point.
Never Sent A Text In My Life. Texting Is For Spotty Faced School Kids, And Adults With "Obsessive Compulsive" Type Disorders... If I Want To Converse With Someone, Part Of That Is Hearing The Sound And Tone Of Their Voice. With Text You Get Nothing But A Bunch Of Pixels On A 2 inch Screen.. *climbs down off soapbox*... Cheers Glen.
I sent one text message a few years ago. I thought it was much slower and less convenient than typing e-mail on a full keyboard, so I never tried it again.
They did more than take it away. The father smashed the phone. One of the news sites showed all the broken pieces in a plastic bag. Somebody should do a comedy sketch on a mythical texting rehab center. .
You'd love it Glen...honest. I agree the tone of a persons voice is important. But, you do "text" - you "text" here most days (some may argue, too much ). You communicate with others through "text". Using a phone to "text" is the same. I've never had an in deph convo with anybody using text. That is not what it is designed for. You just say something like: Be there in 10 Cheers Glen Personally, while we have the infrastructure lets keep the phone. I think landlines will eventually go and we'll all be using hand help skype (or soething similar) cell phones. If both landline and cellphones vanish, then I won't lose any sleep. My mother won't be able to get hold of me...
Yeah, that was pretty comical... That one is right up there with the Chili Cook Off episode, or Crayon in Brain... Then there's the one where Homer gets on medical marijuana... Or the one where Bart goes on Focusin. All fun episodes. :cheers2:
No way. The next advancement to come is surely hand held video phones. Which may be on the market, to be honest. Haven't done my homework. I wish they would go away too though, so you're not alone.
