earning a dealer's trust

to put this in context- i've been buying weed from this dealer (bit of an amateur but a nice guy) for over a year now, maybe a month or so every so often going to someone else but always coming back to him.

I've been interested in acid for a while but when i asked him about is at some point last year he said his friends got it but very rarely and kind of dodged the subject so i just dropped it but recently a friend of a friend who's been going to him much longer than me said he'd offered him acid and suggested he only offered it to his more longstanding customers. I'm still very interested in acid and i'm wondering how i'd gain more trust with him/ maybe ask him for some again in the future despite being turned down before. any help is greatly appreciated.

fair point. i like the guy but i do see him as being a bit clumsy, i.e. doing deals stoned, giving weed to you by pretending to yawn (? confused me at the time), introducing me to his friends, using his real name etc.

 

my weed connect I've had for 10 years doesn't smoke but once a year when he takes off work for a month and takes a trip somewhere to surf or ski. I never see him stoned. He has to random piss test for work.

He doesn't have any acid connect but wants some for his next vacation. He's basically an outdoor pot grower on the side, all clones, small scale about a pound every couple months.

 

your connect is an actual professional, mine seems to be doing it as more of a hobby/ a little extra income. the problem with all the professional dealers i've met is they totally scam you through charging you too much, giving you too little or having way too many stems in there. do you reckon the best course of action with mine is to wait a while and see if he approaches me or just ask him again and be a little more persistant?

 

i hate it when dealers think theyre a secret agent and try to make the transaction all stealthy

i'm not sure what qualifies as a professional drug dealer. but what you described doesnt fit the profile. knowm sayn? i know how it is for him. Especially being a bud dealer. they're the ones that get caught the most often. if you're gonna be wrapped up in other shit at least gotta keep it on the real low.

 

Yeah, i might just pull a favour from the friend of a friend who's known him for longer and ask if he can get some off him and then if i want more i'll just wait till we become more aquainted

 

wanna earn his trust? well, as far as the two way street thing, dunno about that. a whole lot of dealers you can't trust for shit. you've gotta be careful they don't rip you off unless you know them well enough. hell, i've known dealers who'd rip off their best friend.

my advice to you is to try to chill with him a bit. at least ask him if he wants to smoke or match or something when you pick up a bag. start a conversation. get to know him a bit. be a friend.

it's a risky business. they're not trying to be "cool." (well at least most of them). they're trying to not go to prison.

Well if you're friend is actually a friend, he won't mind picking some acid up for you on his next visit.

My weed connect is a professional "blank blank" legit job but has been growing weed his whole life passed on from his parents. He never rips off, ounce always weighs more than an ounce, no stem or leaves, unfortunately no seeds. Ready to cut with scissors and smoke. Same price for the past 10 years. Now if I went down to waikiki like a tourist and tried to buy weed I would get ripped off or get bunk ragweed or get busted.

You need to find another weed guy. That's easier said than done. I met my guy through another guy who wasn't going to be able to be the middle man for me and after so many years the weed grower knew that guy was always buying for me so he decided to meet me. We've been friends ever since doing other things together than buying weed. Pig hunting etc.

 

it seems like youve never dealt drugs. dealing drugs come with a lot of paranoia, especially when "dealing" is yet another charge

 

it's actually not that hard. i go on quite a few vacations with my folks and i always find bud wherever i am. all you really gotta do is find a local hangout spot, and just go up and ask people that look like stoners. hell, i've even done it in my home town. malls, parks, wherever.

 

i was more meaning that i go to this quite amateur-ish- but honest- guy who apparently sells acid because anyone i meet who seems to take it more seriously (and i've met a few) give you shit weed at a shit price.

Real trust is 2 ways. Otherwise your at someone's mercy. I wouldn't have anything to do with someone I couldn't trust. Maybe you can score some stuff from people you don't trust and maybe it's real and you won't get ripped but for me it's not worth it. I've had opportunity to buy some acid but unfortunately I didn't trust the person with knowing who I am and me not knowing them. How can I trust someone with my real identity if I don't know theirs? I won't. Too much to lose. Too sketchy!

 

someone who considered me their "best friend" ripped me off of 200$ worth of 2ci once.

a friend i've had for years slowly raised his bud prices to 25$ per 1/8 from 25$ per 1/4 just because he could. he does this to all his friends.
