Wouldn't it be neat if some day they had some synthetics that had something like an antidote? I thought of it when reading the discussions about how it might not be good that the CP XXXXXs last longer than the JWH-xxxs. It'd be cool if you could take something (like a psychedelic) that you could take and trip for as long as you wanted, until you took the antidote. After the anidote, you'd be fine in a few minutes. (I know there's stuff to help shut down a trip, but I mean just a complete antidote to bring you back to normal.)
Imagine this, though, what if someone became reliant on this antidote and did not have it handy the one time things got heavy?
That is true. Benzos are the best thing that we have now for at least smoothing out a bad trip or taking on the tail end of any trip to get rid of any risidual stimulation, etc.
if i'm not mistaken, there are fast acting anti-psychotic injections that can halt the effects of at least psilocybin completely. not sure about acid or anything else though.
I am COMPLETLY against doing anything to abort or chill out a trip. Thats a huge sign of personal weakness. You gotta face life not numb it.
I've never used benzos to abort a trip as I've yet to have a bad trip and believe that you can learn from all trips, but I sure have used them to go to sleep after psychedelic effects are over and I'm just left with stimulation.
i have too but sometimes, dont you just like to enjoy and appreciate the stimulation you got from the psychadelics you did.
Ideally, yes. But sometimes the stimulation and trouble sleeping can last for hours after the trip, and I can't afford to wake up at noon most days.
honestly, a publicly available "antidote" would only lead to bad things. youd get 14yr olds coming home from school, taking 5 hits of acid, then aborting 2 hours later when their parents get home. bad rep for the drug, and a total lackof any meaningful experience would be the result
This got me thinking.. with the kind of cool reception many school districts and parents have towards harm reduction in sex education, what in the world would stop them from banning these antidote chemicals? They would be banned in a heartbeat, on the argument that they encourage drug experimentation.
