hey i dont know if youre hitting up any fests this season but i came across PHAN PHEST 5.0 its a (seemingly) small fest in KEMPTON PA, august 20-23 with such bands as Strange Design (phish cover band in the style of darkstar orchestra) Splintered Sunlight (dead cover band, def worth checking out for deadheads, better than dso in my opinion) EOTO Juggling Suns U Melt and 20+ other bands! 3 day camping is 55 in advance, ill admit its no bonaroo but im definitly excited for the music of the dead and phish having never been to this event though, id really like to no more about it, since i only found out through word of mouth. so is anyone whos attended in years past able to help me out? hows the vibe here? is this a family fest? drug fest? dead fest? how many people? how are facilites? food? beer/drug strictness? im looking for pretty much any info i can find thanks a ton
Ill be there. great line up!!! I like every band. Ive never been, but Ive been to similar events on the same property. The vibe is 90% of the reason I go to small festivals; I'm sure this festival wont fail me. Yes, It is a family event. Its is certainly not a "drug fest". Dead fest.. no not really, at least not a dead cover band fest. Its small <3000 people. The facilities are great! Lots of camping room. A large pavilion over the outdoor main stage. A secondary indoor stage. Or when you say facilities do you mean bathrooms? I cant remember the bathrooms. Food is fairly priced, but not much variety. No beer/drug strictness because no one gives them a reason to be strict. Compose yourself yo. It should be a great time.
i would like to go to this...im going to a fest the weekend before but if i find out i can take off work again i can make it. $55 for that sounds incredible and i love small fest
