I have been gradually cutting down on smoking, and I'm hoping to quit completely by the end of the summer.

You can say anything to a quitter. My mom has no idea that I was a smoker and when I decided to quit she still asked me to go buy her cigarettes. If a person really wants to quit they will. Giving in because of what someone says or because someone is smoking just means that you haven't made up your mind completely.

Good for you man. I'm out of cigs. I think that I shall cut back too, health reasons, and because I feel shitty a lot lately. My body is tired from working long days, drinking entirely too much alcohol, and smoking a pack a day.

I have a feeling that it's going to be harder to give up drinking than it's going to be to give up cigs.

 

So someone who has made up their mind can't slip?

 

They're not truly ready to quit if they do slip... especially off silly humorous internetz taunts.

The true test, as others have said, is not smoking when you're drinking around mates.

You're invincible if you can do that.

 

i quit smoking a month and 1/2 ago..
but I did smoke tobacco one day when I took lucy.. or lucy took me, last week..
