yeah, the prices on some things are blatantly retarded. other things, decent, I've never seen like, a super bargain price

my biggest problem is I can't go in my pajamas, well, I can, but people get bitchy, because it's a yuppie grocer (at least here)

Pretty much half the stuff I use to buy there, I can find at the regular ole grocery store these days for a lot less.

I did recently buy a great colon cleanse lately. And my colon cleanse, I mean laxative. I shat like I had not before.

Dude, BSR, I hear ya. I bought 2 pounds of cheese balls at Sam's Club, and let me tell you, $6 has never been spent so well. I fucking love those things.

    Yeah...

I don't really buy some veggies at Walmart, and some meats... just because it's too shit.

But... in all honesty... most stuff is exactly the same there, just costs less.

Plus, the potential of child labor and unethical business practices makes my food tastes just a tad better.

I'd rather not support neither Whole Foods or Walmart, they are both run by the same people.

im finding this too, lately. the traditional grocery stores are catching up.
i do think their 365 line is good, for being inexpensive. there are so many random good quality finds there though, especially international stuff. and i like their mission/philosophy thing. their produce is always good as well (i only do sale though)

and i like their paper bags :leaving:

really? i have never heard this. i mean some say that Whole Foods is like the "Walmart" of organic grocery, but im pretty sure they have different owners.
edit - and actually the CEO is very outspoken about their ethics and policies. im positive he has nothing to do with Walmart

That's what I meant. They are the same type of people. They go in - rape and pillage, rape and pillage, then they leave.

I do like my food to be whole, rather than chewed up or smashed or anything of that sort. Except for maybe potatoes. Only mashed though - chewed potatoes, I'll pass

We don't have Whole Foods around here. I wish we did because they have an awesome beer selection.

That's the one shit thing about shopping at Walmart today.

I ended up buying a 12 pack of Red Stripe because there was simply nothing else worth spending my money on.

    ooh red stripe.

but they certainly provide me with all of my whole foodie needs, with nearly any country of origin, which is more than any old mom & pop can provide.
that said, i do tend to buy produce from green grocers. but i am thankful for having whole foods as an alternative to the other supermarkets for all the other shit unavailable elsewhere.

If I had it my way, I'd be able to get produce and stuff down at the city market every few days. Hopefully when I move out I'll be able to support local growers, wherever I may be

Sam's Club is a sect of Wall*Mart go to CostCo it's unionized and gives more money to charity than Sam's Club.

Also, Whole foods is great for specialities or quality food, it's hard for some people or collage kids like myself. I for one would prefer humanly treated meat and dairy as well as just better quality food in general.
WHOLE FOODS FOR THE DELICIOUS WIN!

    CostCo kicks ass.

I'd shop there all the damn time if there was one closer than a 30 minute drive away.
