Mushroom dryness for long term storage

    Ask someone who works at the grocery store? They're all different man...

    You will most likely find Damprid in the painting section, but it's always easiest to just ask at the store; it won't throw any red flags up or anything crazy like that. Shrooms really aren't that sensitive to light and/or air, especially within a few years. There have been 100+ old psilocybe mushrooms found still containing psilocybin so you're perfectly fine; hell if you leave them out in the open air for even a week or two until they are perfectly dry then put them in a ziplock bag...that's perfectly fine, there really isn't too much involved.

    Allright awsome, well i went with epsom salt, i put it in the microwave for like 8 mins and it got hard, and i crushed it up and used it as a dessicant and it should work

    a method i got from a book is to put a lamp under the mushrooms, because heat rises so it will make the moisture rise id guess

    best is food hydrator. but if you don't want to tspend the money, use a fan to dry them for like 2 days and then damp rid.

    Craker dry is optimal. I agree with the DampRid. Tried and true... It's much better than the silica gel. You'd be amazed at what just a small amount of moisture will turn your mushrooms to if you intend to store them for any period of time. Not a pretty picture...
