A: I wasent a small child when the show ran. B: The story about what FR was really about was released when the show was still running. C: Don't bother to ask questions if youre going to dissmiss the answers offhand.
that makes more sense, I was like 5 Someone is touchy... I dont' believe I dismissed anything actually, you just need a nap.
I read the books before I ever saw the show, so I picked it up. but, I also saw dark crystal and some other henson stuff at an early age, I was looking for messages.
Who were those little dudes that would eat all the skyscrapers that the construction people would painstakingly build? .
the fraggles ate them! the doozers built them, and the fraggles came along and ate them. i loved fraggle rock!
that's right! they were always fixing shit up around they and those little bastards would jack it up and piss em off.
fraggle rock is still one of my favorite shows of all time unfortunately i only have like 4 episodes on dvd, but i think my sister has the first season. i need to find out, but either way i'm watching some motherfuckin fraggles tonight. but yes, it is a highly entertaining program, and it always has several levels of meaning, so children (and adults) can all get different messages from it on different levels, all of them good. dave, i didn't see dark crystal until i was older, but it's fucking brilliant. definitely underrated, it deserves to be more than a cult classic. labyrinth is good, but dark crystal is by far the crowning jewel of henson's work, as far as i'm concerned.
his kids sold muppets to disney to make the sequel, mirrormask, sid the science kid, and some other stuff I love the muppets, and it makes me sad. but, if, it gets stuff henson wanted done, done, I'll be happy to see it.
fraggle rock is brilliant, the vision that jim henson had was world peace. and at the end, all of the different world characters found out that they all were connected and that they could live together in harmony. the fraggles were almost called woozles, i have a copy of jim's notes on his brainstorming for fraggle rock.
i would love to have that record! some awesome songs on that show i am watching the first disc of season one....you can't do that without a hat!
A friend once made me and another friend smoke an entire quarter in one night and watch a much of Fraggle Rock. It was slightly amusing at first, but then got to be slightly tiring. Maybe that was just the weed though.
