^^^ Linux is better than both.. but the *nix community has bigger ego issues than the PC and mac community put together
Not just an image, back in the day (early - mid '90s) macs were utter shite. They're good machines now.
PC. Why? Cause I can tinker with it, i can play games besides the Sims with it. I don't have to buy a whole new one just to upgrade, and I'm not stuck with proprietary hardware that is overpriced. However, I'd recommend one (a mac) to someone like my grandma.
Lol what are you talking about HAVE to buy a new one to upgrade? If you aren't a fool you should be able to unscrew some screws and open up a mac. Also your sims comment is totally bogus, you obviously haven't looked at mac games in awhile lol.
My home is a Windows-free zone. I have used nothing but Macs at home since 1986. When I am forced to use Windows, I am constantly annoyed at how hard it is to get anything done.
macs are for retards who download everything under the sun then complain they have viruses when windows 7 comes out, mac is going to take a hugeee hit, windows 7 is everything mac is plus a tonne more. not to mention mac does not even make computers that match up to the highest end PC's.. kinda like the one i just built for anyone in the know, this is my new rig: Intel Core i7 940 ASUS P6T Deluxe OCZ 6GB Reaper DDR3-1866 PC3-15000 RAM Tri Channel EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX 285 SC 1x WD 300GB Velociraptor 1x WD 1TB Caviar Black ASUS Xonar D2X 7.1 24BIT Dolby Digital DTS Enermax Revolution 85 1050W ATX 24PIN 135MM Fan Sony BDUX10S BLU-RAY 2X BD-ROM 8X DVD Prolimatech Megahalem Antec P182 2x Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24” Widescreen and yea.. it's pretty sweet
sorry, i can get an overpriced HD or some RAM Ok, to be fair recently they have been moving to socketed processors, allowing... or possibly allowing replacement. Haven't come across anything that verified the possibility-but it's not like i looked. Now using intel based processors it makes it easier for game developers. As for the Sims I was referring to the recent one first example i could think of for a new/upcoming release . There are ways to emulate things but get performance losses, introduce bugs, etc. But overall, the games will either come out with a simultaneous PC/Mac release... or later ported to Mac. And porting in any direction is evil :reddevil:
For games, Macs can run the Windows versions, without emulation, full speed. You do have to have a licensed copy of Windows, however -- obviously Apple doesn't sell Windows.
indeed... win7 is gonna have a lot of the mac perks.. like the nav bar.. not that you can't already download that now.. Win7 is gonna be better than Vista.. not that that takes much.. but it won't be as good as XP.. personally if i could without having limitations on certain programs i would still run Win2k.. its by far the most stable Windows created
If it isn't going to be better than XP, then it won't make a dent in the Mac momentum. Leopard is ten years ahead of XP. College students are mostly buying Mac laptops now.
