Hi people! so after talking about Andy Goldsworthy in another thread, I thought I'd share a gallery of my rock balancing photos! They are Goldsworthy-esque, I think http://www.************/album.php?aid=3435&id=1298287183&l=20f7099575 (there are 3 pages. don't forget to check them all out!) I personally do this as a meditation and exercise in patience.. some times it will take 5 minutes to do one stack, or maybe even an hour for just one. It is another way to express myself and feel more connected to nature does anyone else balance rocks? or perhaps any other things? I want to eventually write a book or something on this. let me know what you think! also, add me on facebook, if you like eace:
That's pretty skillllll Never heard of that before ...except for that native rock stacking stuff, there's tons of it up north
I loooooove goldsworthy! his art is so amazingly zenful!!!! I dig your rock art....very peaceful to look at!
i love the photos some of the stacks look quite impossible to achieve (eg the one with the small rock underneath the biig one and oh.. ok who i'm kidding, the all look amazing) how long have you been doing this?
that's mint. and that place looks beautiful. will ahve to give it a go, but i can't imagine having the patience.
that rocks. how embarrasing.. I was stoned when I said that oh.. now I've hit rock bottom I'll go watch the flinstones.. that should make my bedrock LAAAAME!
epic win. i like playing around balancing rocks at the beach, but im not very good at it. the photos are lovely too, it looks very peaceful there.
Thats actually pretty cool.... I would NOT have the patience to balance rocks at all.... I've never had the inclination to try thankfully.... I'd probably curse the whole time. Awesome pics though... for sure!
Interestingly enough, Andy Goldsworthy said that this is how he started... Keep it up buddy, there's no end to what can be done, and it looks like you have the temperament to go far... Awesome job man.
