My god... a lot of america is completely forgetting about separation of church and state. Idiots use the bible to justify the war. Same with abortion. Same with homosexuality. Same with the pledge of allegance. Dubya told a bunch of Jews that god had told him to start the war. What the hell is happened?

You can never have seperation of church and state as long as the majority of people still follow a religion, the vast majority of people in this country are Christian and they like a Christian person in the white house. Back in 1960 religion was a huge issue in the election, with Kennedy as president, and him being a Catholic, Protestants though that the pope might begin to lead our country, some people even said that about Kerry in this election. Face it, religion is a huge issue to people.

no, religion is not evil, just it's influence is evil. in the east, religion is responsible for a lot of their peace and freedom (can you say "tibet"?)

tibetan buddhism should not be grouped with what passes for christianity. however, it is still a diluted teaching from what Buddha taught.

religion is what reaches out to the people. it is not the core teaching. religion has it's value, but understand that it is a spoke extending out from the hub. truth is not religion, though religion may hold some truth.

much of what is called "religion" these days is misleading at it's most innocent. at it's worst, it is pure evil.

In the South there were commercials saying "Use the bible as your voting reference" and "Vote like Jesus would". In the 2000 Republican race there were commericals about John McCain not being a true Christian. We really need a law that keeps all religious statements out of all things political...that would be a true seperation of church and state.

We can make our own shirtds at school so im makin the one in my sig...But ya, there can never be true seperation if born agains like busha re in office...It (faith) can affect all you do in your life, but you must look objectivly at issues to make a pure non-faith based descission

That sure as hell won't happen any time soon :p

People are way too ignorant today...they refuse to listen to anything their thoughts do not agree with.
