Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys actually believe in love, or marriage, or any of that shit? The whole "one person for the rest of your life", or even one person at a time only thing seems like total bullshit. Even from an evolutionary standpoint it doesn't make sense. People aren't designed to be with one person at a time, and especially not for an extended period of time. In my opinion, at least.

LOL Idk how many video games I've 'borrowed' from ex bf's and still have.. and why do I still have them? Because they never asked for them back. Though one time I was on the other side of this. An ex had one of my cds and I gave up a night to 'hang out' with him, in reality I just went to get my cd. Once I had it, I made him drive me home immediately. Never to speak to him again. Anyways seems this might have a little more involved considering you've known her for so long but it sounds like shes keeping your xbox to have a reason for you to keep talking to her, because shes probably afraid that once you have it back you'll cut her out of your life.. or something like that. and yes I believe in love
I'm sure they are. I'm not much of a guitar player, I just enjoy it. I mostly just play piano and write music. The action on it is really low, which I like, and I thought I'd have to swap out the stock pickups but they actually sound good.

Prob won't be one for a bit, she's leaving for a couple days tomorrow. For tonight, I basically told her to stop texting me. Things would def be easier if I had a car, if I did I'd just drive over there tomorrow morning, grab the xbox, tell her I'm not planning to ever talk to her again, and then leave.
I believe in love and marriage. I don't believe in any of that soulmate stuff though, that's just ridiculous. To me, love is caring very deeply about someone and wanting to do everything possible to make them happy. That's what love really is, finding someone that you are always happy to be with in almost any situation. Of course there will be bumps along the way, but that's all apart of it. As long as you get involved with good, loving people, it's easy to love. And if you are in love, then of course you should only be with that person. Why would you wanna be messing around with someone who's seeing other people? One love. :cheers2: and dude, just go get your xbox.
People don't suck. People are awesome. One of the most fascinating things in the world is observing people. I recommend you follow the advice stinkfoot gave you in that thread. It is sound, and especially considering you care about the xbox, it will be a valuable lesson to you. Do I believe in love? Yes. Marriage? It is a statement of commitment and a practical arrangement. I don't believe two people need to sign a legal document to stay together for the rest of their lives, but being married gives them rights and benefits in the society in which we are forced to exist. One person for the rest of your life is not an awful prospect at all, provided you have found someone that works for you. This is not for everyone though.
I've come to the exact opposite conclusion from observing people. I've realized that people are complete morons. They'll believe any damn thing as long as you tell it to them the right way, or when they're a kid, and then refuse to accept any opposing idea, even if it's the truth. Same way society fucks so many things up in the world. Imo, society/people are one of the worst things that could happen to the world. I mean, just look at us as a species. We're fucking useless. Without the technology we've built up over time, we'd be completely fucked trying to live on this planet. And that same technology that exists now, the majority of people couldn't even replicate if it somehow all went away.
if we never built up the technology to begin with we would still be in caves living of the land getting on just fine. but you're right if they took it all away now we would be completley incapable of surviving by our means, at least the vast majority would. and i agree, i think we are the worst thing that happened to the planet....at least we are now, at our primitive stages we were probably ok, but not anymore. we're destroying our only home. but thats a different issue really. although i agree with Jimmy about the love and marriage thing. completley. anyway man, good luck with getting the xbox back, and you should probably just forget the girl, you'll meet someone. :cheers2:

Nonsense. Who's to say the things you perceive as negative aren't fascinating? Yes, it is as you say. Many people are foolish when it comes to certain things. Society is a horrible institution. But the things humans do are still amazingly fascinating. I take such great pleasure at everyday kindnesses, for example, especially when I observe them in others. Also when I observe "negative" behavior in people; they are just misguided for the most part. To them, they are usually doing the right thing. I guess you need to allow yourself to be fascinated for people to be fascinating. As a species, we are the most adaptable on the planet. Sure, physically we are nothing special. But that is of minor importance when you have intelligence and numbers. We would be fine without technology. Of course we would. We have, after all, come from a place of having none. Only a few species have the survivability we do. You are jaded.. Fair, considering recent events in your life. But I think if you could see the amazing potential of humanity and people you would be happier. That would also allow you to see the incredible potential in yourself, in all people.
dude im just gonna come out and say it, the xbox is always gonna be there for you the woman may not, if she isnt the right one then thats fine, everyone has the same problem with at least one of their ex girlfriends that they keep having sex with. its a bad cycle that i suggest you stop cause it messes up your head. and get your damm xbox back man, i would never give out a console
