None of there stuff was a fuckin' rock opera.

They were a shitty pop band who make money of the parents of 15 year old girls.

    Meatloaf sang rock opera's.

And Ronnie James Dio has an operatic sounding singing voice I guess. But Green Day sure as hell didn't lol.

What the hell I don't even know if operatic is a word, it sounds right though lol.

a rock opera just means concept album, where all the songs follow a storyline, you dont actually sing operatically (i like using that form of the word, myself)

As much as I hope that Billie Joe dies an extremely painful death...

Wait, I don't know where I'm going with this.

I just hope that he dies.

    Soon.

because a concept album doesnt necessarily have a storyline, following specific characters through the songs etc.

    i dont like meatloaf either.

    Meatloaf doesn't like you.

Mostly because you're not a motorcycle or food.

wow so much hate lol i love Green Day all around im not saying im a fanboy but they were the first band that really ever got me into music way back when, as people i love them and as musicians i love them. but i agree that they have lost some of there fanbase with the punk opera but they've also gained some so it all evens out i guess
