I found these in my yard today. I think my dog was eating them. I am new to identifying plants of this form so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are and if they are poisonous?
    Thanks!

Haven't done a spore print yet but I saw a few overlapping each other and the ones on the bottom had a very fine dark black powder on them. I also noticed the places where they grow in my yard are in clover patches mixed in with the grass, and there is usually a pile of dog poop near by.

Will my dog be ok though? She is like a vacuum, eating anything that she feels like eating. I laid new mulch down last week and she ate a bunch of mulch. It's weird.

See if his/her eyes are dialated...and go from there.

I've seen chunks out of death caps (by deer) and no carcass nearby.(not to say they didn't die eventually)
I think most animals are resilient from some poisons in mushies.

Here is a shot of the cap. Looks similar to Panaeolus Subbalteatus but there is really no way to tell. The spore print of Pan Subb is jet black and this shroom appeared that way, and was also found in my lawn which is where pan subbs are commonly found but I dunno. I don't really care for eating shrooms, I just want to make sure my dog won't die. Although it's been about 4 hours since she ate it and she seems normal. Just has been sleeping since I let her in.

A lot of the caps have what looks like a nipple on the end. I will take a pic of a few more and post them so we can better diagnose what they are.

if it isnt a sub its not active and not poisonous anyways,, DOODS!! theres only 3 mushrooms in the united states on lawns that will kill and they are SUPER easy to distinguish!!
Galerina is one of them, and this is not..

I think it might be a Panaeolus foenisecii but I am not sure about that either. The spore print was different colors on mine then on Panaeolus foenisecii but who knows.

ok thats good to know. I was reading more on it and I found a site that says its in the same family as Psilocybe foenisecii and might have very small trace amounts of psilocybin. If it does, I hope my dog is havin a great trip :cheers2:

its said they do .. but this could be due to cross picking 2 different species in the same batch .. normally this is not..

taste like grass, soil, mud, .. bllahhh yuck :D
I found a all blue one just that size , while not active it tasted like nitrogen,, if that even has a taste to some..

    Dog will be fine.

if the spore prints are jetblack, than you have active mushroom, but if you have brown spore prints, than it's nothing.

    jetblack=magik mushroom for those kinds.

panelous cinctulus or something like that? need to eat minimum 5grams dried. or more

    have fun wit those.

I found the same things today, a few brown spored and a few black in the same area. pttf Ill eat em all .. if I die oh well.. :D

These species are so closely related it makes them very difficult to ID..
