Swimmin in the ocean/Pirate Festival

I went swimming at one of the local beaches on the Atlantic for about 2 hours, just got back. A lot of nice...people to look at in bikinis, and some of those nice looking people were leaving nice smelling smoke trails as they walked in front of me, giggling and looking back at me knowing I could smell the herb as they smoked.

But other than that, swimming in the saltwater with the wind and the currents and waves really did a lot for my hair today. I can see progress just from swimming in the ocean for an hour and lying on the beach. It's awesome. I think I may try to make it out there every other day to help the hair and the badly needed tan.

The Hampton Blackbeard Festival was this weekend as well. I go every year because I'm one of those geeks who dresses up (in revolutionary war uniforms, not pirate garb) and plays colonial field music (Colonial Williamsburg and Yorktown Fife and Drum), and I saw a lot of Jack Sparrow wannabes with fake dreads (I hate seeing people try to act like a him, especially at an event that at least tries to be somewhat authentic), and I also saw a lot of really nice looking dreads. I was so envious. Hopefully next year mine will be looking nice.

The grog and booty was great though.

 

haha I had a chance to try grog recently. I thought it was going to be Tea with rum, not hot water and rum. Those poor pirates, I don't know how they could stand drinking it day in and day out.

Yeah. It's not the best. I'm not much of a huge drinker anymore, but at events like that, you just have to sit around, play music, have a good time and drink from your pewter. I much prefer grab my clay pipe from my tricorn and pack it with some nice weed and smoke it by the waterfront, but you can't always do that when the place is crowded.

That's why I like Revolutionary War events. It's pretty easy to find a place in the woods, grab the stash from your haversack and pack up the pipe and then play Yankee Doodle as you march out the woods...:cheers2:

But your theory is flawed because a viking would cheat and it would not truely be a one on one battle. Guarenteed several vikings would jump in
