Yeah, Pete Rock's production is very soulful. I had the Petestrumentals album that he had released back in 01'. He also, produced the J Dilla "J Say Paid" album that was just released. C.L. Smooth was a very dope lyricist as well. Cats slept on his mic skills except for the classic "T.R.O.Y." joint. I have yet to listen to the new "American Me" album that C.L. released. Have you heard it?
