I confess I have been lurking off and on since around December. Soaring Eagle you are my dready hero! I started my first set of dreads by backcombing and palm rolling with wax. That was before I found this site and read SE speak of the horrors of dread products. 7 days into my new loose fuzzy and icky sticky dreadies I realized SE was right (again I wouldn't have used anything had I read SE and found this site before). I had a friend who swore on dread perming and how I should do that since that is how hers were born. I decided after my reading here to comb out my first set. Or should I say fork out. LOL now 7 months later I have decided to do this right. No products no backcombing. I am at the mercy of my naturally tangling hair & you fine folks to get my locked babies born into the world.

I am Willow, soon to be dready mama to 2 boys.
Anything else you guys wanna know just ask.

mandy.. maybe she means soon to be a dreadhead mom... mom to two sons. That's how I read it. Take pics and post them when you feel the urge. :) I'm a mama to two boys as well.

Edit... too late.. you posted ahead of me.

My sons are 17 months apart, yours are similar so I can appreciate what life is like in your house at the moment. lol

not related at all to the Biltmores, although the estate is lovely for sure! Brevard is nice, I am mostly in Hendersonville & Asheville, you must be around Greenville or Spartanburg SC area am I guessing right or close? Very awesome I have such a groovy neighbor :)

Now im off to see pictures of others journeys. I think I will start a blog on mine. Im sure this has been asked a million and one times but I will ask anyways, how often should I casually palm roll- I dont want to overdo it or obsess. Would washing you hair with only water everyday be too much?

Damn girl, you fine. Nice tat. Daily water is probably too much. Salt water is good, though.
