"Going to Cali, man!!"

My friend has too big of a dream thinking hes going to California soon. Him and his room mates are in a reckon right now. They cant really afford their house right now. Hmm theres like 7 people living in that house and only 2 work cause the others just decided to quit their jobs. Its his mom and this room mate.

i was over there chillin having a bonfire, kinda drunk when they couldnt STFU about california. I couldnt help but laugh at the ideals they were coming up with. One thought of a keg parties at their house...buying kegs and inviting people over, up front $5.

and im sitting wanting to laugh even harder, because theyre getting excited over something thats not gonna happen, I was too out of it to argue but one of the mates girl buttt in and said "how are you guys gonna make this happen if you dont have jobs..." and theyre like "she has a point..."

but they continue to talk about it. she goes inside. Its bugging me so i start to debate. I say "you keep talking about it but you need a lot of money to start one every week... and a job at walmart isnt going to cut it"

again they say..."she has a point man, we need jobs to start this" I roll my eyes laughing and im like you guys talk shit about this but you say you want to pursue your dreams but you wont even look for a job...

He wants to go to California....for whatever reason...he cant afford living here...how will he afford it living out there? and theyre relying on his mom cause she works at a airport and theyre hoping she gets switched over to LA.....not gonna happen...O'hare is in deperate need of people. He has or they have NO money saved up and he thinks hes leaving within months...Im laughing as i type this. They dont drive cause one got his lisence suspended and I have a feeling when he gets his back, insurance is gonna have a hard time trying to cover what he wants ( a crotch rocket)

HOW can i explain my opinion with him about this without sounding like a total asshole? lol

I mean its really almost common sense....you cant just plan to take off, especially now...ecomonys bad everywhere..not just IL. he thinks CA is all the answers. Its not gonna happen IMO and if it does, they wont make it long and they'll be coming back OR his mom will suddently change her mind once she sees the prices of Cali. Shes very permissive.

No its not. Its a ghetto hole but people think its "the shit" cause of what hollywood makes it out to be

 

California is great, except for the amount of people here..so, if anyone wants to move to Cali, please discourage them cause we need no more people.

 

I'd visit cali for like a weekend vacation but I seriously hope someday the many people there weight it down and it floats off

I live in cali, i couldn't imagine living anywhere else, ever. I have traveled alot in my life. It would be nice to live in costa rica though, that place is dope as fuck.
I currently live in the middle of a forest, amzing wilderness everyday, i can go to the beach whenever i want, and have the best roads i can imagine to mobb my car on.

Fuck California. I've never ever wanted to live there and have even more reason not to now that my best friend was murdered in the suburbs of L.A. Fuck that place, it's full of a bunch of backstabbing bitches and I don't ever want to live in a place where I have to constantly watch my back. But as far as your friends go, let them have their foolish dreams, because arguing with them won't change their minds, and eventually they'll find out how crazy their daydreaming was. They don't need anyone to tell them they're being stupid, they'll find out in due time.

 

The best things about where i live, is the privacy away from all those people, and nature. I would never live in a city my soul would die.

my friend Paul has the same dream, but all it is a pipe dream. he can't hold a job for more than a few weeks and he always says he's going to go next month.

juts a pipe dream because he gets his paycheck and instead of saving it he puts it in his pipe and smokes it, then he dreams of going to cali.
