figures. thats pretty much what i assume people who blast ANY music from their car stereo get out of it - you can only turn it up so far before it becomes more unpleasant than enjoyable for yourself. yeah, i enjoy loud music in the car. music many people won't enjoy when they hear me pass, too. but i figure the people who REALLY crank it up usually do it for that "horror, shock and disgust" you mentioned. i can't say i'm not one of those "shocked" bypassers sometimes, since i usually walk where i need to go. but you have to wonder.....how many people are genuinely shocked or outraged....and how many people are simply thinking to themselves "what kind of an attention whore/douchebag drives around with their music intolerably loud?" i certainly think people pull that kind of shit more for attention than musical pleasure.......but maybe i'm a vast minority.....i rarely like the music being played, but hell, i rarely enjoy the music everyone else listens to, so its nothing new. if i look at someone funny for driving by and blaring music, its almost never because its so outrageous....its because the person strikes me as being a dick for driving around with their music so loud it's rattling the windows of houses and parked cars. who cares what someone listens to? far fewer than the people who care about being forced to endure music they don't like for no good reason.

Driving is great. Driving with stick shift is amazingly great. The faster you go the more savage reality gets.
Ive had 3 manual cars and 4 automatics. I prefer the stick shifts. My last car and my current truck are manual. My school bus is automatic.
Yes. My car before I had three kids was a black Ford Mustang GT, stick shift, and boy did it growl. Man, that thing was bad ass. J taught me how to drive stick. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but once I did, I thought it was so much fun!
hubby says he will get me one if i get my license.I'm not sure if that is him giving me incentive to learn, or showing how little faith he has that i will
I still do that in my white truck....its an automatic but I had an old ford 4x4 4 speed for 10 years before....and I catch myself reaching for the shifter that isn't there once in a while.
