So here we all are, staring down the great 2000's - in which seems to contain our fate. Well let's check it out. Predictions.... -Educated- predictions... Ah, the world is a mess. Only to become worse, in all probability. There is hope, definitely. We are human, and thus potential to love is within us all - and many do express this. Humanity will survive its chaos. Those in hatred have built their temples with weak foundations - they will crumble once it all spirals out. So to speak. It's hard to say what will happen, but it all reminds me of the Mayan Calender. The Mayans ended their calender in 2012, not saying it was an end, because they don't truely have 'beginning and end' concepts. They viewed it as a change. Something may happen, a new chapter in the world perhaps? Whatever may happen will happen, but the Mayans seemed to have some understanding of something very natural happening in Earth. Who knows what, or how, but they did. Nothing supernatural is going on at all. No aliens flying down and killing millions, no Jesus in the sky. What is happening is very real. The world is in political chaos - humanity is becoming so chaotic, something is bound to happen. You can trace the steps that led us here all the way back to the medieval ages if you wanted. It's all there. There is no mystical element to this - yet. Save the fact that the Mayans have been accurate in their predictions. How did they understand Earth? I would love to gain their wisdom. Wouldn't you?
The Mayan calendar ending during our lifetimes is, in all probability, just a coincidence. After all, if you examine the calendars of every ancient civilization it shouldn't be that one of them corresponds to our era. I agree with you that there will be big changes around 2012. While 2012 is probably a little early, many scientists predict a "technological singularity" around 2020-2025. In other words, our computer speed, our medicine, our artificial intelligence, and all our other innovations will be progressing so rapidly that society will simply not be able to keep up with it. The technological difference between 2019 and 2020, or 2020 and 2021, so goes the theory, will be so radical that a person asleep for one year will no longer recognize his world when he wakes up. Other possibilities that may occur closer to the date you mentioned would be a nuclear war or major biotech accident.
Or possibly everyone realizes how much hippyism makes sense and a global political reform occurs. But if the Mayans predicted it, it's probably more likely to be some cosmic occurence.
2012 is the end of the third baktum(i belive thats the spelling) cycle...the end of a 75,000 years period our earth has been going through astronomically...our earth is entering and has entered into the 4th density, and as third density beings you can be sure we'll have some difficulty in the transformation... but as always, fill yourself with teh love and the light of the creator and all will be well....raise your vibrations and move on...i for one refuse to repeat this cycle of my spiritual evolution. namaste
The only thing is.......they all correspond to our era, Kandahar, the Vedas, Christianity, Macro Astrology, and the Mayan Calendar, all point to a date between 2010 and 2012. And Native American prophecy regarding the 'third shaking' gives a number of signs, which have been fulfilled, too. Probably just a fluke. I have no clue what is in store, but if
I think it's a fallacy to believe that ancient civilizations can somehow know more about the next ten years than our own civilization does, with all of its science and technology.

everything in this world seems to be pointing to us going into some really crazy times real soon- if you look all around us theres so much evidence that alot has been put in place for some wild occurances to begin in the near future, hmm
Well, 2900 days in relation to 5000 years is real soon I guess, but it still seems a long way off to me. I hope I am still around to see the fireworks.
Well, though I'm wary of self fulfilling prophesies, where we have this myth and because of our belief it happens, I'm still pretty interested in all this. I guess the only way is to wait and see if it happens, although I'm also trying to purify my own life. To what effect, other than personal peace, I don't know. the mind is a powerful thing, but i think we will see some shit that will be obviously too big for us to have wished it. for 20 years I have not changed my conclusions that the vedas, macro astrology, christianity, Native American prophets, Mayans, etc cannot all be wrong, and the dates are too close to be coincidence. They knew back then.....what i dont know, but its big.
