The Magic had a million chances to close that one out. Extremely disappointing loss. Oh well... East Champs isn't bad either... but damn.
Not quite yet, I don't think, but I'm pretty sure it's getting close. They blew game 4 I take it? I can't believe they blew game two. It was their game to lose, and they lost it alright. F'n hate Kobe. Can't believe he's about to get another championship.
Ever since Michael Jordan retired I stopped viewing basketball.--Not only for that reason though. There are no 'true' rivalries anymore. The enormous amount of money these people are paid now has ruined the sport.Even the coaches make millions of dollars a year.--It's almost like the players say to themselves 'so what if we lose-- early vacation,we still get millions of dollars'.--Also when I heard Lebron James got 100 million dollars from nike before he ever stepped on a pro-court,it just was the last straw.--About Kobe himself,he is not even close to the player that Jordan,Majic Johnson Larry Bird ,Charles Barkley etc.were in their prime, and never will be.
Basketball is actually much more competitive this days. The guys who plays today are monsters compared to the players of MJ's time.
Not really. I'd have to search, but there was an article that some guy wrote using a fairly standard scoring method to include time of play, etc to relatively rank old and new generation players. Even with Lebrons versatility he still came out at like 28.2 compared to Jordans 28.6. It's really incredible to look at it and see how far ahead of his time MJ really was. Even at todays standards MJ would be up there with Kobe and Lebron, and depending on the supporting cast, I'd say it would be possible for him to do a double three-peat in todays age....
I don't think Lebron James ,as good as he is is even in the same class as Michael Jordan. And Lebron James is a far better player than Kobe.---And Jordan took the game to a whole new level, something Lebron will nevah do--he can't.--Jordan like other players who used to play actually looked for a reason to dislike the opposing team or player.--Now all these players seem to love each other, and thats one of a few reasons there are no true rivalries in the game anymore.---Michael Jordan like Roger Federer of tennis is the best the world will ever see. About the best thing I can call Lebron is a poor mans M. Jordan.
Naw, Lebrons a beast. He just isn't focused. Too busy crying and whining at refs all game and shit. If he spent his time thinking instead of crying, he could be better than Jordan. He has the physical tools to do so.... Just not the heart. And yes, Lebron > Kobe, by a mile. But Lebron on the Lakers instead of Kobe, and call it lights out.
This is wrong. Whatever the article is, I'm sure it's mostly focused on the superstar. The league, on average, has better and tougher talent now. There will always be superstars. I'm talking about all the other guys.
It's hard to compare Lebron and Jordan just like it's hard to compare Lebron and Kobe. Lebron is a forward, he plays a different game. Jordan couldn't be near as aggressive as James, while James couldn't ever be as clutch as MJ. I simply refrain from drawing a comparison. Plus, today's players have to play against tougher defenders. Hell, I think that Wilt's 100 is completely irrelevant. He scored that against a bunch of skinny white guys.
