hey im new =) um i have friends with normal hair...stupid I know but the guys have been growing out their hair recently and my friend is using this horse shampoo called Main N Tail because apparently it makes your hair grow really fast and healthy...i dreaded my hair with the braid method and they have grown quite a bit its been like 9 months and i love them =)..but i was wondering if i could use this stuff to make them grow faster?? thoughts please
I love Mane n Tail. I only use the conditioner...and I just realized this is about dreads...I dont have dreads, but it's great product and my hairs fairly long
lol yeah its supposed to be for horses i would totally use it i actually found some at my house but if it will undo my locks or go against the knotting that would be baaad
mane and tail will not make your hair grow faster and it's chock full of chemicals that should be avoided. Dreaded hair traps residue in a way that regular hair does not... and shampoos like that have a lot of residue.
pics please. i like the smell of that shampoo. but i wouldn't use it on my locks. but, then again i have locks and not braids.
main and tail doesnt make the hair grow faster it just expands/ or gets (not sure which lol) into the medulla and gives the effect of longer hair when really its just thicker
for strraight long hair it is good ive used the conditioner on my dreads long ago but..its a lewave in conditio0ner..pure residue id only used it in the case of severe dryness and hardkly ever at all never triued the shampoo though but i think theoreticly its suposed to add strength to hair so it grows longwer withouit breakage..nothi9ng short of good diet though helps hair grow odviosly mine grows like crazxy so perhapsd a vegatarian diet is key remember hair growth all occurs under the skin so no shamppoo will afftect growrh..however it can help the shaft of the hair stay strong and not break mostly just nutition and time affect growtrh.. dreads also are more breakage resistent so have a greatter potential for growing long..especialy undammaged natural dreads which can reach lengths over 30 feet under ideal conditions (takes 30 years or more though)
ok they were backcombed, then i braided them later, then i let the roots grow out naturally and form naturally, 1/2 is new natural dreads and the older 1/2 is the dreaded jacked up braided mess...
