I read not long ago that Bobby Kennedy didn't for a second believe the Warren Commission, and to his dying day was convinced that the CIA was involved in his brother's assassination. The speculation was that he wanted to wait until he was in the White House himself, and therefore wielded more horsepower, before he tried to press the issue harder.

If the CIA was involved, then we'll never hear the truth. You can never get the truth from spooks.

But this made me re-think my opinion about JFK's death. Bobby was a very smart man ... if he thought the CIA was involved, then I give that a lot of credence.

Caliente, didn't you heard about E. Howard hunt's deathbed confession?

http://www.rense.com/general76/hunt.htm

Hunt's Deathbed Confession
Reveals JFK Killers
The Last Confession Of E. Howard Hunt -
US government/CIA team murdered JFK

By Larry Chin
Online Journal Associate Editor
4-4-7 The April 5 issue of Rolling Stone features the deathbed confession of CIA operative and key Bay of Pigs/Watergate/Nixon administration figure E. Howard Hunt, The Last Confession of E. Howard Hunt by Erik Hedegaard. This piece is significant not only for its exploration of Hunt, but for breakthrough information that appears to thoroughly corroborate the work of key John F. Kennedy assassination researchers and historians. Who killed JFK? According to Hunt's confession, which was taken by his son, St. John ("Saint") Hunt, over the course of many personal and carefully planned father-son meetings, the following individuals were among the key participants: Lyndon B. Johnson: LBJ, whose own career was assisted by JFK nemesis J. Edgar Hoover (FBI), gave the orders to a CIA-led hit team, and helped guide the Warren Commission/lone gunman cover-up. Cord Meyer: CIA agent, architect of the Operation Mockingbird disinformation apparatus, and husband of Mary Meyer (who had an affair with JFK). David Atlee Philips: CIA and Bay of Pigs veteran. Recruited William Harvey (CIA) and Cuban exile militant Antonio Veciana. William Harvey: CIA and Bay of Pigs veteran. Connected to Mafia figures Santos Trafficante and Sam Giancana. Antonio Veciana: Cuban exile, founder of CIA-backed Alpha 66. Frank Sturgis: CIA operative, mercenary, Bay of Pigs veteran, and later Watergate figure. David Morales: CIA hit man, Bay of Pigs veteran. Morales was also a figure involved with the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy. Lucien Sarti: Corsican assassin and drug trafficker, possible "French gunman," Grassy Knoll (second) shooter. Would Hunt continue to tell lies on his deathbed? Perhaps. Would Hunt tell a final tall story or two, to protect himself, or perhaps deal one final slap in the face to the US government (which made him a fall guy for Watergate)? Yes. Would Hunt hide the involvement of certain individuals to whom he remained loyal, including people who are still alive? Certainly. Anything from an operative like Hunt can only be accepted with caution and healthy skepticism. Nevertheless, Hunt's scenario has the ring of truth.

I dunno, But as long as it's takin' to catch up with this I can't even imagine how long it's going to take to figure out what really happened on 9/11...!!!???

I haven't seen that particular article, but I've heard those allegations before, and apparently it's pretty much what Bobby believed, too.

I'm not so sure about the LBJ connection, but yeah the Bay of Pigs people, who were basically a bunch of thugs, were beside themselves when Kennedy wouldn't send in air cover for them (he never wanted the invasion in the first place; it was an Eisenhower thing). And the Mafia thought he double-crossed them after they supposedly "helped" him get elected. And the CIA was a bunch of right-wing super "patriots" who saw Kennedy as a traitor and "soft" on Communism.

Not a crowd I'd want to be enemies with. I think the whole thing is disgusting, actually. Kennedy accomplished more in 2/3 of a term than most presidents do in a full term, while having to fight the frickin' CIA and J. Edgar Hoover, who hated Bobby.

Bobby was the real star among the Kennedys. He would have made a wonderful president. It makes me sad that his own government couldn't protect him either.

Did you know that Sen. Arlen Spector was on the Warren Commission?

I've always believed the Commission was mainly concerned with keeping the American people stupid and pacified. The Howard Hunt thing might be the truth.

Yeah, apparently there is lots of CIA-originated disinformation in it about Oswald and other stuff. But who the hell can we believe? Like I said earlier, you can never get the truth out of spooks.

I was waiting for that to come up. You're probably right. I knew there were distinct irregularities in the official version of the events of that night, but personally, I haven't really studied Bobby's murder in the same detail as Jack's, because somehow it was too painful to me. I always saw him as the best presidential candidate in my "era", even though I was only three years old when he died, and I always thought the dream of "Camelot" really died with Bobby, not with Jack.

There seems to be evidence that the CIA was behind Bob Marley's death as well.

they got JFK, so it wouldn't surprise me if Israel (more specifically the Mossad) was involved in Bobby's death along with the CIA.

I don't believe that at all. Why would they care about Marley? And how do you give someone brain cancer?

Bob Marley died because of a stupid religious belief.
He was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma on his big toe.
He refused amputation because " Rastafari must remain whole".
Eventually the cancer metastasized to his lungs and finally to his brain.
