So, I'm on probation now... for the next long long time and there is a probation fee, but I can do 8 hours of community service instead of paying them like a fool. I was thinking about stuff I could do to serve the community. Read to blind kids, teach guitar to children, public garden, volunteer at a soup kitchen.... Anyone else have a good idea? I'm open to pretty much anything I just don't want to pay them my hard earned cash that I already pay taxes on.
it will have to be a court approved place and make sure you have ALL the proper documentation for your time served. dont go just assuming anywhere you volunteer will be court approved. once you find that out you can really narrow your list down..
You should be assigned somewhere, theoretically. A lot of friends did the Salvation Army thing... you just go through clothes and stuff... it's easy work and the people there are usually nice. 8 hours is nothing though.
yeah, most places tell you where to go... cool if you can pick. I doubt they'll let you teach kids guitar or read, but you never know. Salvation Army wouldn't be bad, I know in some places soup kitchens can get a little rough from time to time.
you don't know me, do you? i don't deal with doubters. i rock this world everywhere i go, i've got that kind of flow, and i've got more connections than the new york subway. i'm working on volunteering at a school for the blind. they'd be lucky to have me. i've got a bunch of certifications, patience, compassion, empathy, and a lot of good vibrations. soup kitchens are okay, but i've been there and done that. i already wrote that chapter. Salvation Army might work, but there isn't one near me. hmmm, maybe i can get some kids together to help me do a mural for the schools. that would be really dope.
I'd say by giving employment, income and happiness to the poorest members of society. Supply them with the tools to make that happen. And give them customer service/ field sales type work ie SELL THEM DRUGS AT WHOLESALE PRICES !!!:cheers2:
Yeah but what *type* of leaf... ( Listen to those cute little voices on your head. The unborn grandchildren you'll have to explain your life to one day "Don't go straight grandpa mmg, you'll be boring if you're straight.."
