Hey dreadheads, here's some of my update pics! I also need some advice on loose hair. Although I like them natty and natural, I am desperate for a job.. Crocheting only seemed to loosen them further, and palm-rolling has little to no effect at all. Help!
Thanks for the advice and comments. Go ahead and have a laugh at my expense- I'm allergic to one thing, can you guess what it is?
Lol its all good my dreads are still messy and there almost 3 years lol aloe is cool but not necessary just let em lock more lookin chillin
Their was someone here who gave the impression that it was near impossible to get a job. Can't remeber the geeza's name though
I know its the most practical thing to do, but I cannot cut my dreadlocks. I have taken a nazarite vow. Its only a matter of time before I find a job, but I do need my dreads to appear presentable for interviews so I can get my foot in the door and find one quickly (the bills are stacking up). I believe that if I can be successful in the job market with dreadlocks, it will teach me perseverance and tenacity. A man of my qualifications without dreadlocks won't have to try as hard and so it motivates me to strive even harder.
lookin good! I just got a new job with my dreadies at a preschool! Just wash them the day before and then slick em back in a ponytail and be confident and friendly when you go in to speak with people and you'll be fine!
Looks good. Sucks that you are allergic to aloe, my skin reacts to soo many things luckily aloe seems to be about the only thing it likes. Look for a job you can wear a hat. I have seen a lot of people with dreads at regular jobs- but most all of them wore them up in tams or wraps.
idk if it's just me, but I find my dreads look the worst the day after I've washed them. :/ Def wouldn't do that the day before job hunting..luckily I have one already
