Lyme disease can be serious-but it's good that you are catching it early. Do you have health insurance? Find a doctor who specializes in Lyme disease. Do some research on the internet-find doctors and find a support group-see who they recommend. Really do some research here and educate yourself. Very few doctors really understand Lyme disease. Caught early it's not bad.
Yeah they just seemed to brush it off and assume it was the flu or something. One even told me it could be anxiety and I believed her for about a few hours I looked for a primary doctor around here, but the earliest appointment is the 26th and I don't wanna wait another week.I have a doctor back home I haven't seen in about 2 years so I guess I can always try that.
Most doctors don't understand Lyme disease. They don't know the symptoms to look for-it mimics many other diseases-so doctors get confused. Children's Hospital in Boston has an expert-try calling there-see if you can see him or if they can recommend someone - http://www.goodhealthus.com/articles/ghne-lymedisease.htm http://web1.tch.harvard.edu/views/june03/lyme.html
I mean I was sleeping a lot and didnt wanna do anything, but Didnt have that sick feeling, if you know what I mean. But It was really bad for a couple of weeks it was mild for a while more, but I had no motivation to go out and do anything.
I was in cape cod by the way, there was a good clinic there. If you can make the trip, I would suggest cape cod, since thers so many cases there that they see it a lot.
If left alone Lyme disease can really mess you up permanently. Remember when you go to see a doctor-but respectful-but you are paying him for a service. Ask questions. Expect answers. If you don't get it-see someone else. This is a really good article- http://www.citypaper.net/articles/070899/feat.cov1.shtml Here are some good links- http://101science.com/Lymedisease.htm
That was a really good article.I'll have to read the rest later.I made an appointment for Monday morning, unless I can find a sooner one tomorrow.I'm also gonna call in to check on the results because it's been a few days. Don't worry Sara
lol no offense but lime disease is kinda a big deal compared to what your making it sound out to be especially considering that a large majority of doctors dont even know how to diagnose it/even belive in it's existance hopefully u do get on the meds soon enough, otherwise u could be potentiality like SUPER fucked for life. and im not even joking, read up on it. EDIT* i see that KevinH has posted up about this already
