I found out I had Hep C about 20 years ago and have had it for close to 40. I seem to be doing ok but I went thru the enterferon treatments and pills a couple of years ago - it was hell. Thought I was clear but it rebounded so I'm back where I started. Anybody out there with any experience. I'd like to hear from you.eace:
This is the thread I started in the health subforum. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=267390&f=60 It's funny that you should be from Florida because one of the first doctors that I had in the pre-transplant unit was enticed by the Jacksonville HSC . Have you ever been there yourself? If so, maybe you know Dr. Rosser. He's a really good doctor: very personable and he doesn't bullshit around. PAX
there is some new and some older Alternative therapies you should look up....... some are with Medical Mushrooms,,,,,,, Hepatitis, Herpes and AIDS success to nake a few some is with a device used out of the country made in the 30's called a RIFE Generator.... it is like Ultrasound....... just cause it isnt authorized by the AMA doesnt mean is wont work...... some Colloidal Silver helps,,,,,, but there is a right way and many wrong ways to make it....... read the literature on all of theswe and you will find a solution......... just dont believe everything you are told....
Thanks for the interest man - are you afflicted? A few more details might be nice. I really don't know how to start outside of established medical channels. Peace and Love - Dudley
Diagnosed with Hep C can't remember how long ago but I've never had any symptoms or follow ups or anything so any info would be appreciated
i somehow am blessed enough not to have anything......although i was sure i had hep c....my blood work has been tested 3 times and thank god i am clean(especially since i have been on and off needles since i was 15) good luck to all of u who are afflicted
got hep c myself----my liver looks fine and no sympyoms--but they want to do the interferon and pill thearpy on me too--so how sick does that get you?--i know alot of people with hep c its epidemic in Denver all the junkies have it none of them get treated and some are in their 60's already and dont look sick at all----i really dont fel like being sick for a year---and my hep c only has a 50/50 chance of being "cured" you dont really get cured---do you even think i should do the treatment?
I took the interferon and pill treatment for about 11 months. Prior to the treatments I had no symptoms except a very low platelet count --- but I had insurance and figured I was not so old (60) that I couldn't handle the treatments. I've heard 50% are your chances of coming up clean - but it didn't work for me. I showed up as clear but 3 months later it had rebounded so I am back in the same boat. Personally - I won't try the treatment again unless I am symptomatic. 5 or 6 months into the treatment I was totally wasted. Weak - like I mean WEAK!!! Low hemoglobin, low red cell count, low white cell count. I survived but I wondered a couple of times if I would live thru the treatment. For me it was hell --Good luck man - there are a lot of us in this boat. If you want more details let me know. Peace and Love - Dudley
