Where do old hippies do psychedelics?

Seriously. I'm 53, I've been taking psychedelics on and off since 1969. Lately I've been getting into them again. Problem is where I do them - festivals, concerts, gatherings - everyone cool is so young. I love them but where are the old guys like me? Am I going to the wrong places? Did all the old hippies stop doing psychedelics or got paranoid to do them in large crowds? I feel like Grandpa Trips at these events. It's tons of fun but I could relate more to another trippin' older hippie. Where are you guys? I know I'm not alone!

I think I last dosed in 95 sometime during the final Dead tour- I was 45 or so at that time.
I unfourtunetly don't see a lot of old connections/ friends from the old days

 

unfortunately alot of the people of our generation jsut have been dying it seems..... but there are alot that dont have or use Internet also....... (try finding a kewl older hep gal once at HipForums once) I think aot of people just kept using and got burnt out and there is also a lot of people on Meds.......

this is not to say that they younger set have escaped.

from my experience, I always try and do it with trusted freinds in a location or event that has a plan and back up plan in case something enexpected happens....... we took a strange gurl with us once and she passes out on mushrooms ! No one has ever seen this..... passed oput Cold and we were all buzzing so hard we couldnt tell if she was still breathing or not which sent everyone into a panic........

with my wits about me, I took the rear view mirror off the Car to look at the steam, coming out of her nose which saved the show,,,,,,, but if it wouldnt have been for that it would have been a panic

next some unexpected people showed up at a real remote Hot Springs...... we opened up the Volvo Wagon and put her in the back like a Hearst with a bunch of flowers like we were having a seance and luckily the people took off rolling their eyes to Hike for the bathouse....... she did recover but obnly after several hours

I have been to a few concerts, Rolling Stones and Farm Aid but see so very few older people anymore, I just wonder how far and few between we have gotten

I meet alot of older Gals, but many of them never were much into the scene, but they are all mostly burnouts on Meds or Alcohol....... I am having a blast, living in NW Montana in the deepwoods all active and everything... but even the 35-45 yo set , seem to be alot of Meth's and hypertense paranoids.....

I am convinced that alot of peoples attitudes and public posture is from lack of exposure and experience that the 60's and 70's gave me....... strong Christian Conserative 911 Politics havent helped.....
