i got my hair dreaded two week ago and I notice that there is a lot of white follicles from where my hair was ripped out. Is this common? For those who have had dreads for a while....has your hair thinned out a lot?? For those of you who have had dreads and taken them out...is your hair a lot thinner than before?
That's hair you would have normally lost down the sink drain. BEcause you have dreads, they get caught and you get to see them. Hair is going to grow right back in where those pieces came out. Unless of course you are balding because of age. Then ignore what I said above.
lol im not ballding thats for sure...i have TONS of hair...my hair is really thick but i heard that people do go bald from dreads..thats y im worried
Nah, they don't. Not sure why it would be any different than regular hair. If you have lots of hair, I would guess you lose tons normally in the course of a day, but never really noticed until you had dreads. Just think of all the hair that is not getting stuck in the drain now. I Love it!
Ohhh this is just the follicles not being able to go anywhere. I suffered terrible balding after I congoe'd my dreads together so I started using this shampoo specifically aimed at hair loss. I started using it in Feb and I have ho baldness issues now. It's called New by a company called lush. It does have unnatural chemicals in but its amazing!!!
Thats why backcombing is dumb. Yeah, you would have lost a bunch of hairs, but you know the rough tugging and shit from backcombing sure helped it along much faster than normal.
