In early summer 2008, a "tentative truce" was brockered during a secret meeting between Barack Obama, Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes (President of the Fox News Channel) at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York. Obama had initially resisted Murdoch's propositions, despite senior News Corp executives having recruited the Kennedys to act as go-betweens. Obama resented Fox News's portrayal of him "as suspicious, foreign, fearsome - just short of a terrorist," while Ailes said "it might not have been this way if Obama had more willingly come on the air instead of so often giving Fox the back of his hand." A "tentative truce" was agreed upon; Obama would be portrayed more favourably, while Obama would be more willing to appear on Fox. Can anyone offer any links with more information about connections between Obama and Rupert Murdoch?
Here are some: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/17/business/media/17murdoch.html http://www.huffingtonpost.com/hilary-rosen/rupert-murdoch-says-obama_b_104018.html http://www.mail-archive.com/politicalforum@googlegroups.com/msg10512.html It's sort of strange... First, Murdoch endorses McCain, with reservations that he makes public; then, he shoots McCain in the back by predicting that Obama will win.
Sounds like some Brezenzski shit. Z'big is seriously tight with Obama, Rockefeller, Bush Sr., Wolfowitz and Kissenger.
What kind of connections? What you said seems to be about all that occured. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...roked-truce-between-Fox-and-Barack-Obama.html
