some that i've had have been very intense... to the point where i know what's going to happen for like 20 seconds yesterday i had it as well, i was like *level up*
i do the same thing. i realize if i lable the expirience as deja vu, it melts away. but if i simply observe the phenomenon without reacting in any particular way i can ride it out for a bit longer.
I just see it as my getting a temporary glance into the One-ness of all moments. I don't think I actually foresaw that moment, or that I am living it again, to me it just indicates that all moments are the same.
actually, ive become less into dejavu. With psychedelics, i came to see so many dejavus and i have decided that the human brain can very easily create the feeling of coincidence.
deja vu became much less interesting after my acid awakening. i realized it's like being obsessed with the glint of sunlight in the ocean, ignoring the ocean.
I can't really remember the number of occurrences of deja vu, but I'd say they went down after I took acid also.
I don't really get deja vu, but one time I do remember it, I was in the car driving with a buddy as we drove past this scenic bridge over a creek in the woods, and I got deja vu from a dream. We both said "holy shit deja vu" at the exact same time, and found out we had both dreamed of that spot.
I've notice increased deju vu since the first time I smoke salvia... like trip flashbacks, i think that shit fucked me up for life.
I went to the movie show just to ease my mind sat down in the second row and everything was fine the theater darkened an image filled the screen Oh my god it was the same old shit you know what I mean There was dirty Sam the macho man and his best friend Pete beatin on women and children all up and down the street Carol gets fucked Romeo throws up dirty Sam gives someone head you see piss and shitin cock and titin and the end everyone is dead Deja-vu
Alright, Im gunna make a little spill and I hope you all can forgive me as it make come across "as a matter of fact". Its just what I think causes deja vu: I believe time to be best described as an infinite number of lanes (inspiration came from a song by Quantic), each lane being a part of your life derived from a decision being made. Could be as small as what shirt to wear, creating a fork and new lane in time, so to speak. This is where we find alternate realities too but because your subconscious can only experience one at a time you never run into yourself; theoretically it is impossible to live in two lanes at once. When we have deja vu, though, I believe it to be when we switch lanes. A decision we make in the lane that we're in matches up with a decision in another lane causing you to remember stuff that hasnt happened. The reason you remember it is because in the lane you switched to it has already happened. Since you replicated the act down to the last twitch it allows you to change lanes and thus see into the immediate future. Im nervous about putting this on here, Ive never heard or seen anything like what Ive concluded so this is pretty precious information to me.
I like the conception. You say it is important information to you. What practical application do you put it to?
None yet, its not perfect and not exactly practical for anything since you dont know whats going on in these other lanes. However, when you do recognize it you might be able to hold it longer; second post said something about holding onto it. I believe this IS possible but I dont know how, yet. Once I figure that out we might have a practical use but odds are it wont serve any purpose than to explain. Im cool with that though
