Dude have you never heard of suicide? And that's just the obvious. To say noone is ever "ready" to die is lack of common sense.

 

suicide at it's essence is reflective of probably one of the most neurotic and dysfunctional states a human being can even exist in, and to gauge the scope of human experience and dynamics by the relative few who are actually so messed up as to kill themselves isn't exactly honest.
If you think people are ready to actually die (particularly people who die in this manner) then I'm guessing they don't understand what death really is. Because they actually commit an act without realizing what they are doing this doesn't signify that they have an actual willingness or courage to do this, it means they do it out of desperation and miscomprehension, and I guess if you consider ill-conceived last resorts as a sign of "readiness" then so be it.

 

Everyone chooses how they want to die. Most choose not to strike the final blow.

Who's to say there exists no sane one who decides that, for whatever reason, they would rather not continue consciousness?

You don't know what's going through the head of anyone who makes ANY decision, even those who choose to end their life, and to stamp them as subjects of neurotic dysfunction is overgeneralizing and ignorant.

As I understand death, I have wanted to die with all my heart many times throughout the years.

Of course no one knows what death is, so in this sense you're right neo, no one wants to die, but only because of the trickery of language and ignorance.
