I always got confused about the difference between jam and jelly. I think it has to do with how the fruit is preserved. But I could be wrong. But I'm really wanting to try and peanut butter and jell-o sandwich. Could be fun. Nah, probably not worth it. I'll stick with my homemade jelly.
skittles have gelatin, so I just put them in my mouth and spit them off of building..never chew..I can just feel the bones and intestines
No, isn't it made from cow bones or hoofs or something? I am not a veggie (I eat fish), but I stay away from anything with mammals in it, as I feel like eating mammals polutes the soul.
You are pescatarian. Gelatine is made from collagen which is found inside the skin and bones of the animal.
All three are different things here. Jell-O is a brand name for fruit flavoured gelatin. Jam is mashed up fruit with pectin that you spread on toast. Jelly is jam without the fruit chunks, just made from juice and pectin.
When i was 15, I became a vegetarian which lasted until I was 20. I quickly learned about gelatin then, and felt like I had a huge moral dilemma because I loved photography, was in photography class in highschool, and film contains some gelatin. Anyway, I semi-justified the use of gelatin in the fact that there would *always* be meat eaters, and the rest of the parts of the physical body of animals should be put to a practical use. Now, it is not a dilemma at all. I feel quite differently about the topic. But this was way back when.
Thanks for the jelly vs. jam clarification for me, I could never tell. I guess I'm a jam fan. I like there to be chunks of fruit.
