Medical Marijuana in Colorado

I live in Colorado and I was wondering about medical marjuana in Colorado. I know that Colorado is a medical marijuana state and I also know that there is clinic in Loveland. I am wondering about how I would bring it up to my doctor that I would like to try it. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and situational depression. I also have had a 6 year documented history of insomnia and blinding migranes that incompacitate me for days. It is all documented and I was just wondering how would I bring about suggesting and aquiring a medicinal marijuana.
