I did press down on the leaves and stir. I also used the same leaves twice and squeezed them through the strainer to get all the liquid out of the leaves. I'm thinking about trying toss n' wash in a few days...
A few things about method: - From what I understand, you have to be very careful with boiling because you can destroy some of the necessary alks in the plant. I tried making tea for a while and the effects seemed to be milder than future experiments in OJ. - If the leaf is crushed you just need to get it down. That can be done by putting in gel caps. Or, mix in OJ or Grapefruit juice, down it and follow with water (to get the taste out). The citric acid actually helps potentiate the kratom. - Always take kratom on an empty stomach (at least 4 hrs since last eating anything). Otherwise, you won't feel a thing. - Be very careful with extracts. A lot of people don't get as positive results as with plain leaf. And, they make your tolerance skyrocket very fast, which you obviously don't want. I've tried them a couple of times, but personally won't bother with them again. - Don't do kratom too often. It is addictive. Best to limit it to once a week (or 2x per week at MOST)
