Alright, I've got something wonky going on. I'm trying to see my doc about it, but he's rarely in the city, and well.. yeah

Anyways, my right breast has been hurting since Monday. Well, more like the muscles underneath, but it's spread into the breast itself somewhat. It hurts the worst when I cough (chronic cougher, 18 years of secondhand smoke) or stretch, or lift things (I move ladders around a lot at work). Does it just sound like a strained muscle, or something worse? If it is a muscle, is there any way for me to stretch it? It seems like a weird place to strain muscles.

Ouch! A few years ago I had gotten bronchitis. Well, after I got over it, I had a pulled chest muscle to deal with from all the coughing. I feel your pain, sister. Maybe put a heating pad on it...you just have to wait it out, really.

When i was on Crete last summer, i was wearing a very tight bikini bra, and suddenly, i felt very sore in my left breast, i was so affreid, because it was really painful, and i had to lay down all the time.. after about 3 days, i felt so much better and it was it was almost gone, one time recently was wearing a bra that i think was to small and i felt i all over again..

are you on birth control? sometimes birth control can make breasts hurt, because of the hormones and whatnot.

I agree with it possibly being due to wearing a too-tight fitting bra or bathing suit top. When I was pregnant with my twins, I wore a bra that, although it didn't feel too-too tight, was a bit on the snug side, but I didn't think much of it. Still I wore it, but after a few hours, I had such excruiating pain under my one of my breasts, it actually hurt to take a deep breath. At first, I honestly thought it was gas pains, but once I took that bra off, the pain went away close-there after.

Hope you can get to the bottom of what's going on with you! I'd give a call to your doctor if it keeps up. :)

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

    Much peace.

I don't think it's a bra issue. I wear the same bra's I always have, and it certainly isn't a tight one.... I think I just pulled the muscle beneath my breast, because I've been lifting stuff hte last few days and I can feel it hurting every time (work is a grand grand thing)

But thanks everyone for your responses!!!
