 diagnosed with either actinic keratosis or basal cell.
had a freeze Wednesday.. missed Bush's gloat---uh--- speech, so it wasn't ALL bad.
what aside from sunscreen/ long gauze slleves can I do to keep the skin healthy?
what are good skin elimination support and skin health herbs?
what can I look forward to with the healing?
    good news: not melanoma.

Well, I don't know about herbs, but zinc, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E are especially important to wound healing. I would recommend taking a multi-vitamin, 1000 to 2000mg of vitamin C (with plenty of water), 400-800 IU of vitamin E, 15mg of Beta Carotene, and enough calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets to get close to 50mg of zinc per day. Also, use a very gentle skin cleanser, preferably a non-soap cleanser, such as Cetaphil bar soap.
    Good Luck & Heal Quickly!

Oh, preferably split the doses of cal/mag/zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin E into two divided daily doses. Also, a tablet containing 700mg or so of bioflavinoids would be useful. Bioflavinoids, among other things, strenghthen capillaries and increase absorption of vitamin C. Capillaries need to be strong to heal the area and maintain the exchange of blood, nutrients, fluids, and waste to and from the wound.

LOL I've only been in Oregon for a little over a year... I was born and raised in California, the SF Bay Area.

And now, I live in Eastern Oregon... High Desert... Ugh.

Number 50 sunblock is your friend. :)

Yeah, it's really rare to get it at such a young age. When I got it the newspaper interviewed me and put me on the front page, then i was interviewed for the news on tv...it was really embarassing.
