i love the books UNTILL, I READ THE LAST ONE... C.S. LEWIS WAS ONE SICK FUCK IN HOW HE ENDED THE SERIES! lewis ended the series by having asland murder the childern, in order to keep them from growing up so, they would remain "pure." WHAT WAS LEWIS THINKING! the publisher cut that part out of most editions. the publisher was right on that count too! alot of childern don't have the mental developmet to handle that.

about 15 years ago there was a childerns program from the u.k. called wonderworks. they did a series based on all the narnia books. they left out the part of the childerns murders. very, very, very, well done series too! i cannot recommend it highly enough for childern of all ages! it is a family series and is very, very, very, much G rated.

i have no ideal where disney is going to go with the movies. i just want parents to know and keep an eye out on this series and, where it might end in a bad way for young kids!

I agree with you black. I have the series that ends with the children dying. I read the same version when I was in 3rd grade. Great book until the end I agree....but not so bad. Aslan did give the children the life they should have had. I thought about this after I posted this first and remembered that I just finished reading it.

I am very fond both the book and movie series. I was surprised when Disney dropped the IP though.

I've always loved the books, and thought that the movie The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was made really well, but Prince Caspian could have been better... I can't wait for them to attempt The Silver Chair. I did enjoy watching the older BBC films, too... although they're very different.
