What do you believe will happen to you after you die?

I personally believe that I will be reincarnated in some other form.

 

i believe i may be cremated and scattered at sea, after that the fish may eat my ashes or they will dissolve into the the ocean. after that, nothing.

 

I believe one of two things will happen.

Nothing,

or something.

Until it happens, I won't spend too much time worrying about it.

To believe something without the slightest bit of evidence is silly. So I don't know.

 

I think I will exit my body and enter my neighbors starving cat.....then as the cat I'm gonna attack my owner who never feeds me, scratching up her face. I will be murdered in the shelter where I will enter the body of the vet, I will then burn the clinic down and be put in prison for arson where I will be killed by inmates. I will then enter the body of a baby rapist, Then I will cut off my penis and bleed to death. I think all that will make my soul lazy so I'm gonna go live on Jupiter for a few hundred years and then in my best friends nose.....that's really as far as I have planned

 

That would be nice, do you allow karma to dictate what one is reincarnated as, is it random, or do you manifest your own reincarnation?

I'm with dazed here....I guess I'll know when I die, and even then maybe I won't be conscious of it.

Clearly our atoms will continue to exist in some form or another and physically I feel we will continue on, however as far as a continuation of consciousness goes, well there's just no way to be certain.

The conservation of energy really fascinates me for this very purpose though. If energy can neither be created nor destroyed then the sum of all energy within existence must be a constant, only experiencing change or "flux."

The ideal that Potential energy and kinetic energies' combined total is equal to an "objects" mechanical energy is just mind boggling to me....

 

Hopefully as little as possible. A funeral would be nice though.

 

Good and Evil are different aspects of the same thing and I don't believe my actions here will dictate what I become or what situation I'm in in my next form. I doubt if ill be reincarnated on Earth. The universe is so vast, it seems rather unlikely. Either way, my ego will die when I "die". I won't be Didymus Doppelgänger anymore. I'll be a different aspect of the Universe.

 

My hunch and hope is that I'll be put in the ground to rot and become food for numerous worms.

Part of me has always hoped that, if there is an afterlife, there's no judgment, just a situation that the just would enjoy and the unjust would find intolerable. But then, just and unjust could as easily be defined as "least/most likely to hate the afterlife" whatever it turned out to be like.

I think the issue here is what happens to our mind. What happens to the matter that is our body is kinda irrelevant. Although the conservation of mass idea is a great mind trip to think on. Thanks for the thought

along the lines...
how exactly do animal minds compare to human minds? what my fear is that humans evolved too far for their own good. we are so unique in our thoughts of death.. they are taken steps farther than the animal acting on instinct in flight mode, or the animal mourning the loss of their offspring. death comes to each of us the same, determines a lot of what we do with our lives.. but it's enough to make us stop living to think about it. other animals don't. or do they?

i'm not quite articulate right now.

animal cognition is so intriguing.. makes you wonder what happens to all of these minds after physical death.

 

Animals have souls. Heaven is pretty much just full of insects, living in insect luxury.

 

I am hoping after death my corpse can be dumped on the council tip as funerals are a waste of money. Failing that I'll be burnt and chucked onto earth somewhere. My memory will hopefully live on until those that know me expire.

 

I think it will be like going to sleep forever and never dreaming.
