Damn, this is proof in itself, I made a fuckin thread about it for no obvious reason. I love German beers like Becks so much, and of course Heinekens from Holland. Its the best beer in my opinion, I could drink it all day and night.

I like Corona too, and Im starting to like dark lager beer as well.

I guess I'm biased, but German beer is awesome.

I used to drink Becks, but now like Bitburger better. I'd say it's a bit more tart (or bitter or how you'd say?) Good stuff :cheers2:

heineken is the enemy hehe. (wouldn't mind one now though)

Fuck german beer, Netherlands all the way! well... maybe I dunno, german beer is good, dutch beer is good, german absinthe is terrible, dutch absinthe, there isnt much but it's pretty bad as well.

last time I was in holland I drank a rose that kicked so much balls oh my god. after that I spent three weeks in RSA where all the beer except Windhoek and Heineken are brewed in RSA, all the family drinks Windhoek, which is from Namibia, it's "natural" but tastes like shit, doesn't get you drunk worth a damn and leaves you feeling hella weird in the morning, uncle drank miller, but it was brewed at the big brewery in SA that isnt natural so none of the rest of the family drank it, it tasted kinda like miller, tasted awsome compared to windhoek, out of all the beer in that place heineken was the best. I used to hate Heineken, after that shit I love it, is like water.

belgian beer has more variety in style and often can lend itself to far more elegant and sophisticated brews, but there are some magnificent german beers. however, for the most part, light colored german lagers (and their counterparts present in most nearby countries) are all extremely similar. i'm not partial to this style, but i will say that if i'm drinking a golden colored lager (when it comes to german beer the styles get far too specific for me to just say pils) i generally prefer pilsner urquell, which is a czech beer. it is a masterpiece of brewing perfection :-D

however, when it comes to german beers, i have to say i'm extremely partial to spaten. another go-to beer for me.

i love german beers, but germany has far more to offer than run-of-the-mill straw colored lagers. among my favorite styles of beer are schwarzbiers. i also enjoy kölsch, altbiers, doppelbocks, eisbocks, and the varied styles of weissbiers very much.

    some of my favorites:

I concur: Belgian beers are the shit! Westmalle, Wittekerke, and others fucking blow the competition away. If I'm drinking german beer then it HAS to be dark, same goes for dutch stuff, though I can appreciate a Heineken at times.
