For anyone who went last year..

Im really excited about this fest but I was wondering what the nature around there is like. this is really important for me at a festival because i want to be able to get away or be close to nature when im not seeing music or funkin around. Ive only been to a few festivals in my day and i end up enjoying the nature around the site more than the music or the people. Ive looked on google map at the place and i dont see much except for a lake. what yall think??

i've never been, but am planning (very tentatively) to go this year. a bunch of friends that have gone told me that the camping sux, your herded into a field like cattle. but there is a plot of woods called the Sherwood Forest, all sorts of tripped out sights to see and paths to get lost on. i think theres a hidden stage in ther or something. it sounds cool, and all the music is awesome. but $275? whew

hey man if you want a good nature setting, go to any festival at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Ohio. same time as rothbury this year they have grateful fest - 3 nights of darkstar. but yeah the camping is AWESOME... its all woods, big tall hardwood trees with gnarly vines winding everywhere. the campsights are huge and elevated (so they dont get too wet) and theres a huge firepit at every one. the woods go waayyy back you could spend all day exploring. then you can walk out to the beach and dive into a 300 foot deep heated quarry. theres also another lake for fishing if you can find it.

Harmony Park is another great place in southern Minnesota
