all 3 of my kids can read now. if i'm sitting here on the computer.. there is a chance that one of them is right here next to me reading everything. i assume the same of other parents and kid-friendly adults to be experiencing the same thing. hello HF babies!
I usually minimize the screen if the kids start trying to read what's on the forums (depending on what it is), although generally they don't try to. And I disabled signatures in case they happened to see some of the "questionable" ones. I mean, sometimes there's some pretty crazy stuff on here, you gotta admit. But with me having a laptop, I can take it anywhere, so the kids are usually preoccupied by other stuff and I don't have to worry about them being too interested in what I'm doing at the moment.
I minimize it when my parents try to read it. My dad used my computer once though and read some things here. He said everyone on this site are all fake hippies who should be out hugging tree's but they are too busy sitting inside typing about hugging tree's lol.
I've wondered the same, but then again it's not really everyday you meet as many weird people in real life, that blurt their views out and still share some common sense of respect, so you're all excused for not plaiting each others hair right now in the countryside. (weird is good!)
most people here don't even pretend to be hippies. the ones that do are chastised endlessly for being stupid fags.
